If I have a K-ETA, do I need to fill out an Arrival Card? Toggle faqs
No. If you have a K-ETA, you do not need to fill out an Arrival Card. All other passengers need to fill out the Arrival Card before entering South Korea.
If I have a K-ETA, do I need to fill out a Customs Declaration? Toggle faqs
Yes. All passengers are required to fill out a customs declaration form, including those with an approved K-ETA. One form is required per family.
If you’re entering through Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 or Gimpo International Airport, you can now submit your customs declaration form online.
I’m traveling with my family. Do we need individual K-ETAs? Toggle faqs
Through this site, each passport holder needs to submit an individual K-ETA application. If you’re traveling with children, you can complete the application on their behalf.
I have 2 passports, which should I use to apply for the K-ETA? Toggle faqs
If you have 2 passports due to dual nationality, check whether both nationalities are eligible for the K-ETA. If only one is eligible, apply using that passport. If both are eligible, you can use either passport.
You must use the same passport to apply for the ETA and travel to South Korea.
How soon before traveling to Korea can I apply for my K-ETA? Toggle faqs
You can apply for your K-ETA through this website as soon as you like. We’ll submit it for official processing at the right time. We recommend applying early so you can focus on planning other aspects of your trip.
Make sure you apply at least 48 hours before you travel or use our Priority service for last-minute applications.
Do I need to apply for an ETA every time I go to Korea? Toggle faqs
No. You do not need to apply for a new K-ETA every time you travel to Korea. The travel authorization is valid for 3 years.
Note that if your passport expires sooner, your K-ETA will also expire. You need to reapply for the K-ETA with your new passport.
I already have a visa for South Korea, do I also need a K-ETA? Toggle faqs
If you hold a valid visa for South Korea, you do not need a K-ETA. You’ll be granted the status and period of stay according to your visa.
